Typical Chinese junk, had to work on it for about an hour and a half before it worked and then was able to install it. Would have returned it if I hadn't been in a time crunch.

My husband installed this ignition lock in a Volkswagen Jetta. He found that he had to file the metal plate off the part of the lock that held the ignition switch. After that, he was able to install the ignition lock in the ignition lock.

Installs this part on a 2011 Golf TDI. I had to clean up the casting a bit to make it work, but it ends up working great! This part solved my problem where the car thought my key was still in the ignition when it wasn't. I think I saved a few hundred bucks over the original part, so I don't mind that the part isn't quite perfect and I don't have to modify it at all.
