$$ spent on a new switch, use the same key. There is no way to reset/change the keyboard shortcut. So yes - easy to install (yawns)

The problem was with the magnetic switch which is under the passenger side seat. Too bad that 2 different people who work with golf carts told me that wasn't the problem when I asked them about it.
