🚘 iJDMTOY No Drill Tow Hook License Plate Mounting Bracket for Mercedes W205 C-Class X204 GLK-Class X205 GLC-Class W212 W213 E-Class W166 GLE-Class Review

I've added inverted star washers on either side of the cymbal holder. This apparently increased the stability of the mount so the platter didn't rotate. I've had it for a few months now and it's still there. I installed it on a 2019 GLC 300 4matic and had no problems with front sensors being blocked.

I bought this as I didn't want to drill my CLS550. It was quite expensive for what it is but easy to install. The problem is that it blocked the parking aid, so I had to hear about it every time I started the car. Then the license plate tended to get lost and flop. I took it off and drilled a plate holder into the machine.

Install as instructed with lock washers and it works great (car wash can twist/rotate it but easy to straighten by hand). Since I have license plate frames I also added lock washers to the bolts that hold the tag to the frame and since the frame is flush mounted you will need to use pliers to hold the nut in place while using an Allen wrench to Tighten use it's tight.

So it's been on my car for a few months. Looks good but it's a PITA for maintenance. Yes. Support. I don't care how hard you tighten this thing or use the latch etc. You always end up having to adjust it. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I think I'll just take it and drill through the front bumper cover so I don't have to mess with that piece of junk. Ready. I do not recommend buying.

Everything fits perfectly. The video on their website was fantastic and very helpful, the detailed instructions with pictures are great too. Installation took less than 5 minutes. Even though my ticket was denied, I had to waste my voting time, AND I still had to pay legal fees that were about 5 times as much. Poor quality POS product. Like many other reviewers, I found this unsafe. The package label says "Use a rubber washer to prevent the mounting bracket from rotating." No rubber washer included! Another reviewer recommends using glue for installation, which is utter bullshit. Such a product, made for a specific car model, must be independent. There's no reason for me to go to the hardware store to buy more parts to make this thing work. DO NOT BUY THIS!

This product is pretty good overall, especially for the price. However, I can't give it a good rating because it doesn't fit for 2019+ W205 C class. Once installed, it will block the right front parking sensor from 2019 due to a redesigned bumper and slightly different parking sensor placement in updated models.
