As expected!

This blade fits perfectly on my 11 inch Shopsmith band saw. I was going to order a custom canvas to start my project but this is cheaper and works great. Using it along with a Shopsmith reducer and some cutting oil I can now cut ferrous metals for small projects. It looks well made, so I don't expect any problems. I haven't used it often enough to test the long-term blade life, but I'll definitely update this review if the blade life isn't reasonable.

Using a blade on exposed metal shelves shouldn't be "soft " metal!

The product was delivered well packaged and in good used condition. We needed this bandsaw blade to trim the edges of 1/4 open plastic coated wire shelves. Since this material is easy to cut with bolt cutters, we consider it a soft metal. However, the saw blade teeth disappeared after 8.1/4 round cuts in the workpiece. Possibly a blade, but the nature of the metal contributed to its short lifespan. I didn't expect the knife teeth to wear down effectively.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

This was done at the lowest possible speed to keep heat to a minimum and immersed in a light cutting oil. May be suitable for cold rolled mild steel but is not recommended for good quality steel. The second blade was used to slice a section of black walnut into 1/4 inch thick slices. First the wood was a 12 inch diameter log that was split in half and then cut into slabs. In the middle of
