I didn't want to pay $50-$100 for a pair of flat pedals so I decided to try them for less than $30. They did not disappoint, high quality and fairly light. The pins are fairly aggressive and hold the foot in place so well that you have to physically take them off and adjust them if you want to adjust your foot on the pedal. These are great pedals. For $20, they give you no excuse for technical riding without good pedals. As other reviewers point out, the threaded steel bolts make a difference in traction day and night compared to plastic "demo pedals". Even under the prettier flat pedals, they have the best grip I've ever ridden. In decent shoes, your feet won't slip at all unless they lose contact with the pedal.
