REQUIRED FOR REF TANK

I bought this because those crappy Ehiem-Jager heaters are garbage. Mine was set at 74 and kept heating up to 86! Rather than break the bank for a better heater I bought one and it worked great for controlling the power of the heaters. I only connected a heater, no fans. The temperature in my tank doesn't vary more than 1°F from 77°F in either direction. It is also very easy to program.

Great temperature controller for aquariums!

I installed this in one of my reef tanks. I calibrated, tested all scenarios in hot and cold water with all settings and everything worked fine. I have everything wired up at the reef now and am looking forward to a much more stable and reliable tank temperature. There are plans to add a fan and use this feature. I would definitely recommend it to any fish keeper.

Superb Temperature Control in a Minnow Tank

I have a medium sized chest freezer that I keep my fish in during the summer months. If you run it on the lowest setting the freezer will run 100% of the time and get too cold. I tried setting a timer on it, but it was almost impossible to adjust for changing weather conditions and temperatures in the garage. This thing is the bomb. I set it to 60 degrees Fahrenheit and it keeps it within a few degrees. The first one I got was DOA but Revain quickly replaced it and the second one works great.

A must for reef aquariums

This item is a must-have for reef aquariums. This gives you the ability to control heating and cooling. In a reef aquarium I used both plugs on a squid for heating and cooling. Aquarium heater for heating and simple fan for cooling. The controller allows me to turn the heater and fan on and off with different degrees of deflection. Helps maintain the stability and prosperity of the aquarium. This device is improved over the standard device with a detachable aquarium safety sensor. The probe of…

Good buy... Except... (Read review)

I love my ink tank. It is very good. 4 stars because: 1.- You can only change the temperature in 1 degree increments. 2.- Calibration is far away, when you first receive it, you must have a reliable thermometer to calibrate it properly. 3.- Only updates the temperature every 15 minutes, I would like it more often. Because of this problem I had to buy another brand for my reef tank. So not suitable for reef aquariums. But great for freshwater! 4.- With all the above issues, it should be cheaper…

Reliable product to protect your aquarium inhabitants

I've had issues with heaters heating aquariums to crazy temperatures and killing a lot of animals so I regret not using the controller sooner. I have this controller set to hold the riff at 78 degrees and like to add a fan to control it. I also like the fact that there is an alarm system to alert you if the temperature gets out of control. Having another safety device really puts my mind at ease. I keep the probe in the sump and it continues to show stable temperature readings in my tank…

Precision and great safety!

I had a 300w Eheim heater that one day decided it needed to heat 5F higher than its setting and I accidentally caught it from checking the water temp very carefully that week. I bought one of these and received it with a shipping tag so I can use a reliable sensor that can also control my existing heaters. It was great to be able to check the water temperature and at the same time check the water temperature while I was sleeping, at work or on vacation. Once I can replace this heater it will be
