Great for those who need less spool waste

I purchased this product because the color of filament I wanted was only available without a spool at my local micro center. I needed it for work so I bought this reusable holder. From now on I buy thread without a spool and use this product. It works great and is so easy to take apart and add filament. The reduction of plastic waste is very important to me, so I won't just throw away the superfluous empty spools now.

Inconsistent thickness will result in unsuccessful prints.

I've been using eSun PLA Pro for about a year but refill prices keep going up. It looked like an opportunity to get a similar product and save a few bucks a roll. The spare coil was only in a single pouch (the eSun was in a double pouch) and the coil winding was noticeably weaker than the eSun. Performance is the same as eSun filament, no adjustments were needed to get good prints. Unfortunately, I used half of the first spool and had three print failures due to bulging in the filament. Worst idea oh not worth the bother at all

I thought it would be a good idea you know to save a few bucks because I already had spools but no it was a bad idea and I don't save anything. Actually I lost. I bought two of these for the spools I already had but somehow they were different sized centers, too small to fit the center of the one spool I have but too big to fit another brand of spool to have.
