Worked great until it fell apart. -- Exchanged immediately!

My cars sat idle for weeks so I checked each one when I got back behind the wheel. This worked great as I could easily start any car when the battery was getting low and I was able to confirm the alternator charge level. The fold-down control panel has always made it very easy to read (albeit upside down). Unfortunately, the metal tip fell off and disappeared. It was great while it lasted. :-)Update: A quick call to support and they immediately sent a new one! One year guarantee. Good service!…

Good product at a very reasonable price

Well made and durable. It turns on instantly and is constantly updated. Displays the voltage with two decimal places. Comes with great instructions on how to check your loading system printed on a large card that came in a blister pack so it's big and strong enough to fit and survive in the glove box. I got this for my daughter's 2009 Civic which doesn't have a voltmeter. I used it to make sure the alternator was putting out 14.58 volts, but the battery would drain to less than 6 volts on a…

A much needed update!

Great addition for monitoring battery voltage in a caravan. The Innova Battery/Charge Monitor is a huge upgrade over the factory installed Battery Monitor, which only shows green, amber, and red lights and nothing else. With the advent of LED lighting and solar panels, it is possible to extend battery life by constantly monitoring the voltage. I was able to determine how many volts each of the cells in my trailer draws, which prolongs the life of the battery before it needs to be recharged…

Buy a good one and you'll use it from car to car.

More expensive than most but the rotating head makes reading easier. It also allows adjustment to avoid hitting the switch. depends on the car model. The readings were checked with a digital multimeter. There are 2 decimal places, but only 1 is needed to monitor the battery and charging system. Really cheap readers may not be reliable over time or are often not accurate. They're all Chinese and even expensive stuff can be crap, but I have Innova scanners and they're reasonably priced. Fit and…

Worth every penny, hundreds saved

As a city tourist in a Ford Ranger. I travel a lot in the USA. So I think it's a good idea to keep an eye on my vehicle while driving. I have sensors for all fluids (oil, transmission, power steering and coolant) that let me know if there is a problem. I've followed the life of trucks except for one important aspect, the electrical system. I didn't really have room to install another sensor that I could see at a glance from the driver's seat. During my search I came across this surveillance…

Required topic. to battery tester

When it gets cold, my car battery is the first to fail. I started the car and drove it for several hours to recharge it. I have already ordered this product firstly to see if it works and secondly to see if it gives me an idea of the condition of my batteries. I restart the car and now plug it into the 12v socket and it says the battery is charging while I drive. Another cold night and a third jump turns me on, but now when I plug in my device I get a charging warning. After about 15 minutes of

Numerically accurate, a bit overly critical, but a great tool to have

Good: Meter accuracy: Reading within 0.01-0.05V of a Fluke 117 meter in the 12-13V range. Problematic: Three auxiliary indicators to help you convert numeric voltage to battery status: battery icon at top, bar graph at right, and colored LEDs at bottom. Everyone says the same thing, they just say it differently. The table on the back of the package indicates the voltage range that each of the stripes/colours represents. That's the problem. Calculating the battery voltage is not that simple. To…

Thank you dear gadget 😊

I bought this primarily to monitor my pickup battery for stray discharge. When I checked the battery status over the weekend, I felt that the battery was draining more than I thought during the work week. I only have 11 miles (one way) to work so I wanted to know if that would be enough to fully charge the battery. Of course there's the trip computer, radio presets and who knows what else drains the battery when the car is off. During monitoring when the car is off I sometimes see a voltage…

A great tool if you can read it.

I bought this battery voltage meter in 2013 when I was having trouble with my car battery. Now I have another car that I bought a few years ago and last year the dealer replaced the battery under warranty but this winter I had battery problems again so I dusted off the meter and hooked it up to trying to get a better picture of what's going on with this battery. First let me say that all that matters is the voltage reading and the green, yellow and red LEDs on it are useless and meaningless…
