I bought these and installed them on the rear of a 1993 Honda Accord after installing remanufactured/aftermarket speakers. I didn't cut any holes in them. You sound great. I heard this stylish speaker cover/cover will improve the sound of my rear speakers in my car. I've considered buying others or cutting holes in them after installation. I am happy with this purchase

If you have an older car with a thinner metal door these are a must. I didn't cut any holes as many people claim it has to be done to sound good. They minimized the "muffled throw" in the midrange and made the low frequencies clear and tight. With my 6.5" components the sound is more car focused and definitely an improvement. They also help prevent excessive mid-bass deflection on low notes and door metal rattle.

They also seal the speakers well. Really too good. Sounds like door speakers want to use the air space in the door for bass. sooo I cut the cup in half so that the top half of the installed speaker (and the top half of the magnet) are covered to prevent water from getting in and they sound good. This is a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander. This worked well as the door speaker holes are triangular instead of round. So the foam encloses them better. My suggestion is to mount them in their entirety and…
