Stunning 4K DisplayPort KVM

I use this switch with my 27" Dell 4K HDR monitor and four computers: 2 desktops, 1 laptop and 1 Mac Mini. Set it up but it's been working fine ever since It's nice to be able to use standard cables and run USB3 anywhere. Once you get used to 3840 x 2160 HDR @ 60Hz it's very hard to go back. A few notes for potential owners: - Use high quality video cables! DisplayPort seems to be pretty picky about cables and connectors, use a cable that doesn't match your setup and the image may flicker or…

. Other than that though, it's a very good KVM switch with great features (although I haven't figured it all out yet). The user manual is available in PDF format if the booklet in the box isn't enough for you, but don't expect much from IOGEAR's technical support hotline. Not only do you get voicemail at all hours of the day, but you also don't respond when you post your problem online. B. Everything. However, the switch works pretty well and I recommend it if you can troubleshoot yourself…

Works great (unlike other DisplayPort KVMs I've tried)

I've used many switches over the years including two other DisplayPorts and I'm very happy with them. It's much more comfortable to use than the cheap DP switch it replaced and doesn't have the downsides of the expensive Belkin switch I bought and returned. Video: Image quality and stability are perfect. (Although DisplayPort signals are digital, some switches cause bit errors.) Also, other DP switches lose signal when toggled, causing laptop screens to wake up and windows to resize, but this…

I was thrilled to test this with my new Philip IPS 4K 4K monitor with my PC and 2017 Macbook Pro . I also bought a third-party USB-C to Displayport adapter from Revain to make everything work, or logically it should. However, the third-party adapter did not respond well to this kvmp. It worked great on PC and I was able to extend my monitor with another one, but when I switched it to Macbook Pro it flickered and didn't display my Macbook Pro desktop properly. Eventually I contacted IOGEAR…

More than bearable, but a little more

Buy when you need it. It works exactly as intended and the declared properties are fully consistent with reality. Since this is a DisplayPort KVM, your experience should be better than expected, assuming every connected device works. I regret not upgrading my hardware a few years ago. As with any similar IOGEAR product, the build quality is better than expected. It definitely doesn't feel cheap. Smaller cable ends and ports than previous technologies like DVI mean the entire unit is…
