Well made and durable. Wanted some of these clips for the store but can get pretty expensive. This kit is exactly what the doctor ordered. Very happy with the quality.
At under $8 each they seem like good clips. I bought them to replace some brackets that I never got back. I am surprised by the value for money. I feel like I got more than what I paid for.
They are great for securing items to the welding table. They are covered in oil so have towels handy when removing them from the plastic bags. The operation is smooth. There are no screw adjustment problems.
I haven't bought any weld clamps other than the Vise Grip brand in years as they were all junk. However, I have to say that these clips are the same quality as the VG brand and at a much better price. If you need weld clamps I highly recommend them. KenTimeless Iron Forge
I have to say I'm impressed. I have weld clamps from all the major manufacturers and use them regularly. These clamps are of the same high quality as branded clamps in terms of material, fit and workmanship, but at a significantly lower price. I will buy more if I find a need.
As every welder knows, C-clamps are essential in the workshop and often more than 8 are needed at a time. This six-pack is surprisingly affordable. In more ways than one. 4/6 clamps work fine, no complaints. However, 2 springs are defective and the whole set looks relatively cheap. You know what you are getting at a lower price. It's not bad either way, but they probably wear out a lot quicker than standard C-clamps.
These clips are for the lightest use only. The steel they are made of is very soft and bends easily. I had to flex my jaws to straighten them. The handle flexed when clamped and clamped the lever, freezing the action of all six clamps. Legs are loose so they rotate too far to balance. I work in a metal shop and have used dozens of Irwin clamps and have never had a problem with Irwin flexing and to be honest I have had problems with Irwin legs but that's probably 1 in 5 and only after a fewβ¦
I bought this set because of the price. I've had an Irwin vise for about ten years and needed a basic set to supplement as I was only going to use it for basic gluing. Definitely not something serious or difficult for the instrument. About 10 days after the return window, I noticed that one of the levers was deformed. After checking the rest, I saw that ALL were deformed to some extent. It's only gotten worse since then, and about half of them are bent to the point of being useless. It is clear
I was concerned about reviews saying they weren't as durable as Milwaukee or Irwin. The C-clip is 3/16 inch thick and feels solid enough. Some of the old Irwin clamps I had were 1/4", so yes, they're lighter. But I used them to attach a Kreg jig and the job couldn't have been done quicker. That Clamping and unclamping was instantaneous, much faster than the typical C (threaded shank) clamps I use.All the clamps I make are wood machined so I'll probably never need the heaviest clamps. And forβ¦
