For Really Messy Cats be sure to use Puppy Pads as they soak excessive urine - avoid urine around nylon mesh located on perimeter of the mat. This outside nylon border may absorb urine if excessive. HOW did I manage without it?!

This rug exceeded all my expectations! It catches the litter very well and I no longer have to sweep the floor every day. It's also comfortable to kneel on while cleaning drawers - a BIG plus if you have sensitive knees like mine! It also "repels" the urine - meaning it doesn't drain! It also washes off easily in the shower and dries very quickly. Cats didn't have any adjustment problems either. It is very comfortable to walk on and has no sharp edges or textures. Expensive but beautiful rug

I saved for months on this rug and finally moved it from wishlist to cart for almost $50. I would say this mat reduced the amount of dirt tracked down by about 60%. It doesn't pick up all the junk, but I vacuum less and find less junk in my slippers. The brown color looks good against the brown carpet in the home and it seems that cats prefer to walk on it than other toilet rugs. Best cat litter mat we've ever used

We've set up a small rescue cat litter in our house and have tried MANY types of cat litter mats for years. We discovered the iPrimio mats a few years ago and think we've found the gold standard. iPrimio carpets are hard-wearing and very well made. We have several homes and have just bought two more for our family's cabin. We use SmartCart litter, which is made from dried grass and is much more environmentally friendly than traditional clay litter, but its particles are larger and tend to leave

2 years later still the answer to my prayers and the savior of my sanity (and bottoms)

Update 2 years after the original review (still a godsend!) I bought this almost a year ago and am still in love with it. We have a cat that occasionally feels the urge to go all the way into the litter box, point the back of the litter box toward the opening, and urinate straight ahead, aiming for as much distance as possible.
