I was surprised by the quality for the price.

I bought this lens to replace 16-35 f4.0. Despite new achievements, I cannot consider that I have won something for work. However, first things first. 1. The lens is large and a small trunk is moving out. 2. Instead of the supernatural sharpness that we got in 35 and 85 macro, here we get the plasticity of the picture, soft magical blur and the most pleasant colors. 3. Lightning fast focus. I just want to see such a speed in general on all lenses. If not for the focal length, it would be…

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

The only ultra-wide zoom on a canon with a thread for filters, an aperture of 2.8 and a stub. So that's why the price is. 16-35 2.8EF is not much cheaper and it is without a stub. The quality is normal in general, but not amazing: strong vignetting at 15mm and aperture 2.8, a strong barrel, although it may not be possible to get rid of them. Sharpness is okay, but the Sigma 50 f/1.4 Art is noticeably better at f/2.8. What struck me was the lack of chromatic aberrations. It is large in size…

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

As already said, the lens sits well on the camera, together it is a single whole. A small trunk leaves, but it does not bother. At 35mm, a very good result, for portraits it’s the best, a good alternative to 50mm. The stabilizer will be appreciated by the owners of R and Rp (I have a matrix R6 there). This lens may be the first and only one for those who shoot travel.

Pros
  • It's a stylish lens (although the plastic is quite cheap) and complements the body perfectly. Compared to the 16-35mm f2.8 iii, it has a stabilizer and a longer focal length.
Cons
  • Naturally PRICE, well, very expensive (and what to do) cheap plastic On a 15mm barrel (however, this is corrected in the light room) When using, there are traces on the plastic from the nails. (cut to zero, does not help)

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I am writing a review after the experience of using it at two full-day weddings, 3 interior shoots and 1 photo shoot. I must say right away that at focal lengths 24-35 it is much cooler than rf24-70 (read my review about this glass). I have long dreamed of such glass, because over the past 3 years there has not been enough wide angle at 24-70. I get high. A great tool if you understand why these focal lengths are needed.

Pros
  • PROS: 1. The softest bokeh. Not a fix, but close, level 2.0-2.2 holes on EF fixes. (i. E. you put a hole on the rf glass 2.8 and get bokeh 2.0-2.2 fixes). 2. Autofocus is just something. Faster than rf24-70 definitely. 3. Holds backlight and contrast very well. When shooting interiors in border areas with light, everything is perfect. Bulbs are neat. 4. Vyrviglaznaya sharpness across the entire field of the frame. 5. Color and microcontrast. Feels better than rf24-70 and close to 28-70 2.0.
Cons
  • MINUSES: 1. Still a barrel and a pillow. But this is zoom emae. 2. All RF glasses have scratchy plastic. When the outer terry coating is erased and the plastic becomes glossy, then everything is fine. 3. Price (very cheap with all cashbacks).

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

I think RF lenses are exactly what all this is worth. I do not know why. there is some magic in these L-s, the picture from them looks just magical, even simple plots look interesting. with other manufacturers, this effect is much more difficult to obtain, I have no idea why. you can compare sharpness, distortion and other nonsense as much as you like, but with L the picture is very cool, it is obvious even to a simple peasant that this was shot on something very cool.   • sharp, excellent contrast, cool color, magical wide angle, fairly wide range of focal lengths, some kind of magic in the image rendering, the picture is very interesting, pleasant in appearance, and convenient to use. autofocus is fast and never misses (on the R6). the stub is silent.
Cons
  • well, here to get to the bottom that the plastic lens, that the vignette at 15 is too conspicuous (and who doesn’t?), maybe that it’s a construct with an external zoom (well, that means it’s necessary). and from the subjective, I don’t like bokeh at all, apparently on the widths you can only get bokeh norms from fixes. the zoom ring flexes slightly with medium effort (top).
