🚴 IronHorse Bicycles Bike Tracker Review

Should be reset by pressing and holding the left button for 3 seconds, but actually a simple touch of the left button will result in a full reset with loss of all data. Cannot be mounted on the rear wheel, too far to transmit the sensor. Even when installed on the front wheel, the sensor readings are uneven; says my speed jumps from 12mph to 20mph when I'm probably stable at 18. . . Overall it is a useless product. Why can't I find a decent basic bike computer?

Just installed on my Sunny exercise bike. I had to glue the sensor to the wheel. Was expecting that. Connected the transmitter as usual. He started the spinning wheel and placed the computer on the steering wheel. No signal. He brought the computer closer to the transmitter, the computer began to register the speed and slowly moved the computer to the steering wheel. I have used this computer for several trips and I am completely impressed! Installation was easy (I mounted mine near the wheel hub), and even after very bumpy bike trails, everything stayed in place thanks to the forgiving zip ties. You see, the zip ties have a little tab that you can press on and untie your tie if you don't like where you put it, Genius! The information provided by the computer seems accurate and the product seems reliable although I have not used it in the rain yet.

When cycling I get wrong signals showing wrong speed values. I believe it happens at the same time as through traffic on the freeway next to the bike path, but haven't been able to confirm that. When cycling at a consistent speed of 18-19 mph verified by my cycling partners computer (no wifi) I am getting incorrect speed readings of 30+ mph as recorded on MXS readings (maximum speed). If you're looking for an inexpensive computer that more or less meets manufacturer specifications but is difficult to set up and use, look no further. The device came quickly, but at first it didn't work. I found that both of the included batteries were dying to say the least. I replaced the batteries and everything worked as advertised. While I was assembling the components, things were going pretty well. The computer battery worked well and all accessories were present. The big problem came when I struggled to open the sensor component to slip a coin-sized battery inside. I used a coin to try and open the small latch to insert the battery. It wouldn't move. Just installed and taken for a short trip. Installed easily, worked the first time, instructions are clear and easy to understand. The display is large, clear and easy to read. I took it on a measured course and it seems pretty accurate. A very small mistake. When attaching the display bracket to the front and rear tubes on the handlebars, over-tightening the cable ties will deform the bracket, preventing the display from sliding onto the bracket.
