IRWIN 326023 Straight Shank Masonry Review

I used the drill once, the first hole I drilled in the mortar/brick worked fine until the brick was halfway through then it just stopped and stopped working . I replaced it with another made by the De company that Walt works for and finished the job with no problems.

I've used this bit for drilling 4" brick facings and for drilling anchors in 6-bag concrete. Works perfectly, the grooves are wide enough for the holes to clean themselves. I work as a contractor and use these tools every day. I prefer this Irwin bit to the cheaper Vermont American or often more expensive DeWalt bit because of the wider flutes. This drill bit cuts through masonry like oil.
