Irwin Industrial Tools 3073002 Plumbers Review

The Irwin Industrial Tools 3073002 Plumbers set was a total disappointment. Based on my observations, these hole saws were not durable at all and broke easily, causing me to have to purchase replacements within a short period of time. As someone who works in the Industrial and Scientific sector, I expected a higher level of quality for the price I paid. Dimensions required for most bores are missing here, smaller values make no sense. For 7/8" or 3/4" diameter holes, it is better to use a drill rather than a hole saw. I would return but I've waited too long. The quality is not bad, but the given dimensions are mostly unusable.

I bought this set because I never had the right size hole saw when I needed it. I don't live near big stores. A hole saw can cost around $20. If for some reason I still don't have the right size. I can only ever buy the saw and use the mandrel in this set. Costs $30+. I've only cut a few holes with this saw, but it cuts well and the plug is surprisingly easy to remove from the saw. Also the padded kit is good for keeping everything together.
