Waste of Money good for me

The Irwin Industrial Tools 3073002 Plumbers set was a total disappointment. Based on my observations, these hole saws were not durable at all and broke easily, causing me to have to purchase replacements within a short period of time. As someone who works in the Industrial and Scientific sector, I expected a higher level of quality for the price I paid. The only pros were that they did cut holes as advertised, but this doesn't make up for the cons of constantly having to replace them. Save your

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Some may find the price too high

Pay attention to the dimensions included.

Dimensions required for most bores are missing here, smaller values make no sense. For 7/8" or 3/4" diameter holes, it is better to use a drill rather than a hole saw. I would return but I've waited too long. The quality is not bad, but the given dimensions are mostly unusable.

Pros
  • Bi-metal construction for strength and durability
Cons
  • Damaged

Nice hole saw set at a good price

I bought this set because I never had the right size hole saw when I needed it. I don't live near big stores. A hole saw can cost around $20. If for some reason I still don't have the right size. I can only ever buy the saw and use the mandrel in this set. Costs $30+. I've only cut a few holes with this saw, but it cuts well and the plug is surprisingly easy to remove from the saw. Also the padded kit is good for keeping everything together.

Pros
  • Contains the most common sizes for plumbers, electricians and general use
Cons
  • Small parts
