Irwin Tools VISE GRIP Original 1078TRAY Review

I think I bought them on special order. Need more pens for the store. My legs have grown (must be an evolution in my shop). But I don't think you can have too many shots. Irvine is a good product.

Bought these for my son when he was starting his career in engineering. They come in a beautiful tray that fits perfectly in a drawer and keeps things tidy. The $4 price couldn't be beat. As always, the quality of the Vise Grip is amazing.

. This is a great set of round and flat vices. The only thing I wish the plastic tray they came in would fit in my toolbox drawer would be a great organizer. The shelf is too big even for a transport box. Perhaps the ideal organizer for job box.

The only reason I didn't give these pliers five stars is because they aren't made in the USA like they used to be. The problem is that nobody makes American-made trucks. This set offers a very good selection and is much cheaper than buying them individually.

Very good vise set, good value for money. I don't see any difference in quality compared to the other vises I already have. I've noticed many complaints about the tray they come in. I think it's only intended as a shipping tray and that's fine because it takes up too much space. Plenty of tool box space to be practical. In any case, I prefer to just throw them in a drawer. I am very satisfied with this vise set.

Great set. The tools are high quality. The only downside is that the molded tray is deeper than a regular tool box. I have a Cobalt bed that is 42" wide by 17" deep and the tray is at least 1" deeper. I think I could shorten it. But it is a molded plastic pallet. Why on earth didn't they design it to fit in a standard tool box? So keep that in mind if you buy it for a tray. If you need a one stop shop to get as many vises as possible, buy them.

Irwin used to be the king of pliers, not anymore. You can find higher-quality tools at the truck sales kiosk at the district fair. These things are legal crap. Most tips don't mate, and the 7" curved jaws (7WR) don't even touch when clamped. The 6" C-Clamp will not open unless manually opened. years old and I have many old Irwin tools, all excellent. Grip pliers are an indispensable tool in every workshop or workshop. After having to rely on clamps or other inappropriate tools, I was looking for a good set.
