This will make sketches!

It's freaking huge! Ideal for drawing; However, if you want that hard texture to feel like a photocopy, this isn't sketchbook. It's like a composite notepad (hence the newspaper, lol). I decided to embody my main idea on canvas, my best friend is in love with her. She loves to draw and paint.

Pros
  • Ideal for practicing and mastering.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Beautiful newspaper!

This paper is great for basic sketches. Ideal for figure drawing classes and any type of drawing where someone gets creative and sketches a design. The media adheres well to the paper and the pad cover is durable and well constructed for quick page turns when the artist is sketching in time. I absolutely love this paper and overall can't beat the price! Mixes well, but this paper is only suitable for rough sketching. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Ideal for pre-projects
Cons
  • Not sure

fairly thin

I usually use Strathmore 32 lb newsprint and ordered two pads of this and have used more than one pad. I want people to know that the texture is pretty smooth and brittle compared to what I'm used to. It doesn't seem like it matters, but if you're using 18X24 like me, just rearranging it under the clamps is a chore. In addition, you need to put a few leaves under it to complete the picture. What I hate the most is the cheap look, the way the paper hangs on the board and still shows creases no…

Pros
  • 32 lb paper
Cons
  • Large and bulky
