Quality in everything: home audio

They are a real eye-catcher in white, with or without grilles, which are magnetic by the way. These are the first Jamos I have ever owned and I am very happy with my purchase. I rarely buy commercial speakers as I'm usually more of a fan of DIY speakers when it comes to speakers, not just as a hobby but as a way to get more bang for your buck. The reviews, retail price and looks were enough to convince me to click the Add to Cart button and I'm glad I did. After some break-in period I did an…

The sound is great, but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired.

I spontaneously ordered these speakers as they seemed pretty cheap at $300. I bought them for $120 which felt like a bargain to me. As described, they are noticeably boosted in the bass and treble ranges, which is what I wished for for the music I listen to. Bass is punchy and fairly low for the size of the driver, the front bass port helps in that regard. High frequencies sometimes get harsh when listening to some tracks where female vocals pronounce the "s" sound. With some songs it borders…

Surprisingly good sound, but huge quality problems.

You've probably seen the rave reviews online and thought this is a great speaker set. They sound really great for this price range. But I was unpleasantly surprised, as the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Very bad. In this case, there is no quality control. The wood base isn't wood I knew, but that fake vinyl sheet bubbles up all over and on both speakers. Looks terrible! Applying a little heat to the iron to re-stick and remove the bubbles can work if you're feeling adventurous. The…

Music from Youtube will be difficult to listen to, download FLAC files. Tight bass gives piano and strings a percussion feel Separation of instruments in a reasonably sized soundstage…

Yes, they are MAGIC!

I recently found that as a music lover and former amateur audiophile, I couldn't stand the thought of my Echo as the only music source in my home being anywhere remotely acceptable without headphones. So I searched YouTube for audiophile reviews of bookshelf speakers. Steve Gutenberg and Zeo's Panthera are the top speaker reviewers you will find. I was ready to buy the Elac Debut 2.0 b 6.2 when I came across their reviews of these Jamos. Both had good things to say. In fact, Zeos were crazy…
