10,000 miles and recalled 1 year later

I've had this on my car for over a year and 10,000 miles. He met and exceeded my expectations. I made a detailed video review of the quality and performance of this part on another platform. + in almost all matters.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Damaged

Do not tighten to specification. You will catch her.

Missing screw. So I used one from the old cover. CAUTION DO NOT torque to specifications with a torque wrench. I removed 2 screws. I used the old ones instead. The hardware that comes with the cover is of lower quality than the OEM. I highly recommend tightening them by hand.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Useless functions

Fits like a glove! Direct replacement. 10/10

2011 BMW 335i xDrive with N55 engine. $98 for it vs $400 OEM? I was skeptical too, but join the N55 groups/forums and look for EXACTLY the same company/brand and MANY people are using these, stock or high performance cars. One thing to note: don't rely on third party seals. OEM and genuine BMW gaskets are pretty cheap at the dealer at $35, so get an OEM gasket and use this valve cover.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • No

Good quality, fits my 2012 535xi.

This rocker cover proved to be just as strong and well formed as the original BMW part it replaced. The screws matched the holes on the motor perfectly. There is a slight difference between this part and the one I removed from my car. The new part has 2 brass nuts cast in plastic for the mounting bolts, while the one on my car only had plastic holes and used bolts meant to go in plastic. I don't see this as a problem, more of an improvement, and I suspect it would be if I bought an OEM from a…

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Defective just 21 days after installation

I ordered this to fit my customer's 2014 F10 N55. Just 21 days after installation it had an internal fault right on the brake booster line connector. I couldn't believe it and it's causing the AFR engine light to be too lean. I'm an experienced German car mechanic and I've done a number of tests (smoke, sensor check, reset, clear adjustments, etc.). Couldn't find the cause of the engine fire, but I know there's a leak somewhere. It wasn't until I had to remove the intake manifold that I was…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
