DOA Not satisfied with accessories and consumables

I ordered it about 6 weeks ago and knew I would use it once other items from other suppliers arrived. I installed it this weekend only to find out it's DOA. I tried returning it with Revain but was told it no longer matched the return status. It's gross that I plan ahead to have all the gear I need ready when the last piece comes back to bite my wallet.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Having problems

Works, slightly thinner than expected.

Works well although a little thinner than I would imagine for an armored cable. I wouldn't recommend placing it in a high traffic area just because it might not survive being run over by an 18 wheeler - which I would expect from an armored cable. Also, spend $10 and get a reel for these, just something that winds them up properly. This saves you a lot of time.

Works well for A/V accessories

I'm concerned about durability, they work great and claim protection but I think a rabbit might cut the cable in half. It is smaller than one end of a standard lamp cord. We installed this plus 75m walkway and to prevent animals from tripping over it or eating it (it runs through the woods) we dug it about 2 inches deep. I will update the review later on the result. The instructions say not to bury it, but I think it's more likely to be damaged by a deer foot or a chipmunk chewing on it than if

Perfect fit and finish, works great at 1Gbps (tested). Good value for money.

Purchased for the network connection between our home and the barn about 75 feet away. Tested fiber between two switches with HP X120 LC/LX 1310nm SFP modules and found no errors. I buried the cable in 3/4 inch schedule 40 PVC and it has been running fine for a month now. The cable description says "just buried" but the cable jacket is very thin. has a smooth sand base and backfill if buried directly - I found it more convenient to use PVC pipe to provide physical protection from crush damage…

Good cable in category Audio Cable

I bought a 100m singlemode LC-LC patch cord to run between my house and barn. It required a pipeline 240 feet underground - it hurt, but now it's done. I thought I used enough "snot" in the whistle when I did the joints and the fact that it was a straight path with no elbows made me think I could get the whistle out. a full 240 feet at a time. It shouldn't have happened as after about 100 feet it became difficult to pull. I'm guessing it was in the 20lb range. Not knowing how stiff the thin…

Not bad but mine failed - not sure how

Bought a 50m cable with LC connector for a home project. Everything looked good quality except for the "Y" crimp just before the LC connector. The test went well, but an element must have broken before the installation was complete. I had to run this cable (lubricated) through about 30 feet of 3/4" pipe. All straight edges and only two wide 90 degree bends. Unfortunately, the flexible rubber outer jacket of this armored cable is relatively "tacky" so greasing was needed. I pulled gently and the
