This was just what I needed to sharpen the blades of some really dull knives and tools. The other stones I have tend to be very fine and extra fine and work great when trying to touch up an edge, but they don't work with large tools and take too long. I know the price seems reasonable but I don't think they are worth it. Mine was glued crooked and there were 2-3 small dents on the FINE side where there was no diamond. I didn't think they would make a difference as they are really quite small, but I can feel it with every hit with almost every tool I try to sharpen. They also seem pretty flimsy and I installed them on a piece of wood but I'm pretty sure they still don't give me a really flat surface. I don't feel that they are doing their job
