I used these to replace the broken plastic ones on the shutters. The Arizona sun kills the plastic ones. I hope these metal ones last longer. Although both the old ones and these metal ones claim 1.5" width to the mounting slots, there was a minor difference. I suspect a metric to English conversion was the culprit. Only a single caviat, and that is the adhesive strips that come with them. Don't do yourself the wrong of trying to use them. The magnet strength [excellent] is sufficient to pull these things right off the wall or cabinet or drawer, etc. Use the screws and you've got top value an a top valued price.

I put these both top and bottom of a heavy wooden rolling equipment cabinet that has some flex. While one catch at the top did not seem adequate, placing one at both the top and bottom worked out great. However, I really had to work to get these positioned properly because they do not have the typical springy self-seating alignment action. In the end, it takes a good tug to open the cabinet doors, but they definitely stay shut when I roll the big cabinet around, plus the price was great!

Has others have mentioned the screws are absolutely horrible. I am a muscular grown man and my forearms are throbbing after putting these in. The magnets are great. Once you get them installed they work and look great. Would I buy them again? Yes, but I would be dreading installing them

These door magnets were very surprisingly strong & made very well. I bought them to replace door magnets on a furniture console cabinet. Unfortunately they were too small for that because my cabinet door magnets are larger & deeper in width. I did measure & thought these would fit perfect. I would order them again if I needed different door or drawer magnets. I highly recommend them but they just didn’t fit my space. That’s why I gave them 5 stars.

The 2 parts the make up the magnet are 1, the magnet which typically is installed on the cabinet carcass and 2 the magnetic flat piece the attaches to the cabinet door. This second part requires a considerable amount of measuring and time to layout and install correctly. What would make this much easier if the manufacturer would have the flat piece made with small sharp points that could be transferred to the door after the magnet was attached to the cabinet.
