A good bit of cheap paint.

I just opened the box and the first thing I noticed was that the paint was just peeling off. JKS and peeling paint only came with this brand because Rubicon Express claims 1.5" in height and they are 1" in height.

5 Initial chassis quality

JKS leads the way with its products. I would happily pay more for their quality. These braces gave me the 1 inch pad I needed and greatly improved correct quality over factory flat short braces. Outstanding product. Use green tractor grease for a smooth ride and don't overtighten to prevent them from sticking.

almost perfect braces.

Fits well and almost perfectly. The powder coating is quite brittle and will chip off during installation. The only other complaint is that there is a notch on the temple where they bent the steel, not the best design. It would be easy enough to guide the laser cutter to make a small circle instead of a notch. The rest works great.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Only available in white

Excellent upgraded replacement clips!

Great bindings for a 1994 XJ. Replacing the old shackles with these was of great importance. They're really easy to install. Additionally, these struts add an inch to a half inch to the rear of the car. As others have said, take some fittings at a 45 degree angle and stick them in there, it's a lot easier and adds room to mount a grease gun.

Pros
  • One year probationary period

  • Don't know

Perfect fit for 1998 Jeep Cherokee

Added 1" over stock brackets. heavy construction. I agree with other reviewers that switching to a 45 degree mirror mount would be a great mod BEFORE doing the install. However, I was able to access the straight grease fittings that came with the kit. But make your life easier by getting a 45 degree SLR upgrade at your local hardware store before installing it. I had to spread the clevis ears on both clevises about 1/8" apart to get the leaf spring bushings in, but it was easy to do and didn't…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great part! Drive better!

We simply put these on my buddy's XJ because he has springy body bumps at the very back on medium to large bumps. The stock struts simply allow the rear of the longer lifting leaf springs to sit too close to the body (in front of the rear bumper). These rear-facing calipers gave us the required 45-degree angle and pushed the rear leaf spring bushing lug back and down a bit. This gave us an extra small boost of nearly an inch, but it made XJ driving that much better and completely eliminated the
