Smooth, simple action. Ideal for heavy doors!

I used this dual track system to create a glass door in our office. It works very well and was easy to install. The doors I used weighed 40 pounds each, which translates to 80 pounds on the line, and they opened and closed smoothly with the touch of a finger. I was very impressed with the quality and design.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Need better guidance.

18" x 82" wooden panel for hanging 4 doors. If I did it again I wouldn't have a problem, but we had a couple of construction issues that weren't explained in enough detail and the pictures weren't very good. In the end we figured it all out. Also, two of the hinges were sticking and had to be adjusted. If they fit tightly together, they will sag a little.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons

The best of the art of assembly drawings.

I have a lot of experience with Johnson double and sliding door hardware. The instructions are exceptionally well written, but with one caveat. If you've never worked with engineering drawings, read them for a while and take your time. Make sure you can see that all three sizes match. These drawings and instructions are intended to serve as an example of how to create a complete set of drawings. Once installed, you can expect years of trouble-free performance from these products.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So far so good

Well made and durable, but with a caveat.

Well made, very durable hardware and I heartily recommend it. The accompanying drawings are acceptable, but they are not really IKEA-style step-by-step instructions. They are intended for builders and carpenters rather than weekend warriors. Attached image from the directions. If that's not enough for you, there might be another option for you. If you're moving from home center junk, be prepared to trim the bottom of the doors as this unit takes up more room at the top. I'd rather cut it once…

very durable; had to use a professional installer

I bought two of these hardware kits to replace the original parts on double cabinet doors in two rooms. The originals were 15 years old and simply broken. It is important to note that each of the 4 doors per cabinet weighed 30 pounds for a total of 120 pounds per cabinet. We installed this equipment professionally and took over 6 hours total for two installations. I had to cut all 8 doors which added a lot to the time. When the cost of new hardware was added to the installation cost, this…

Abandoned and Thrown Away

Ridiculous Instructions. Small and incomprehensible graphics on the instruction pages. The steps are not in the correct order. And the biggest issue I had was that there is no adjustment to raise a set of doors to level out the uneven floor. I am an experienced contractor. I spent hours trying to get this hardware to work for my setup only to find it wouldn't work. Then I made two decisions; First, I threw all the hardware in the trash, and second, I've decided not to buy any more Johnson…

High quality, durable set!

I recently purchased this four door (12" x 4") cabinet door set to replace an old Johnson set that had been in use for 18 years. Previous owners seemed to be of lower quality with some worn plastic parts etc. Before receiving the product and installing it I was a bit shocked that I had paid so much just for the hardware for the cabinet door but after installation I think it did was worth it. That. The doors look great and work! I expect this set to last even longer than the first! A few…

it was definitely the best value for money

Johnson gear of very high quality, components made in USA. After looking at many folding door options, this is definitely the best option in terms of value for money. The high quality industrial gear was very expensive and I didn't need that much weight anyway. For my application with a double screen patio door, this was perfect. The facility isn't that bad. The hardest part was the bottom axle if you are installing on a stove. You need to buy some stone screws, a stone drill and a stone drill.

  • Pleasant to use
