The idea behind this product is amazing BUT they didn't leave enough room for knife handles. I think if you have really thin knife handles this would be perfect. I'm so upset I almost threw away my knife blocks

This is a nice, fairly compact device that will handle most of my sharp knives, steak, santuco, chefs and even my smaller ones holds carving knife even though it's tight. It will not fit a 12" Wusstoff bread knife or a 12" Victorinox carving knife, the blade is too long and tall to fit the long section. It also has problems with very small blades. I bought it to keep my knives in a drawer. In fact, everyone's preferences are different and in my case I don't like the product. Oh my god! I love these trays! I bought 2 silverware containers because after years of unconsciously collecting silverware to feed an army, I needed more than 1. Everything fits perfectly! Before I bought them, my Rubbermaid cutlery tray stretched the full width of the drawer and the slot on the other side for large serving spoons was crowded. A "professional organizer" advised me to buy it. Unfortunately, it jammed my new kitchen cabinet the first time I used it. I've just remodeled my kitchen and have already damaged the paint and hinges on the new drawer trying to knock this knife out.
