Very disappointed, it's not wood, it's a pressed board. They look like faux wood veneer and won't hold up to spray paint. As I tried to spray them I cannot return them.

These blocks looked like wood on my screen. When they first appeared, they originally looked like wood with the grain oriented widthwise, but without rings at the edges. I sawed a block; it was MDF. Sawdust is like powdered sugar. I haven't tried screws.
