Good toy or treat stand for Conure

That's it. Good holder for toys or treats. I haven't put him in his cage yet, but he's perfect for a sun conure or any other conure. I wouldn't buy it for anything bigger as the big beaks will destroy it in no time. This is soft rubber. I would say it's worth the money!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Couldn't stand my Goffin cockatoo

My bird showed minimal interest in this toy, even with peanuts, her favorite treat. As soon as she got interested in it, she tore a few holes. She is rarely in her cage except at night or when she decides to go there during the day. I expected it to take longer than a week.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Available in white only

Parrot loves this toy

My parrot loves this toy and plays with it every day. He sleeps with a toy next to him and I have two used toys that I hung in front of his cage. He plays with everyone. They chew very well and he chewed up part of the toy but they last about 6 or 7 months before a hole appears in them. Easy to fill with peanuts or other treats.

Pros
  • Hands free control
Cons
  • So far so good

Don't buy this for a hooked parrot

I've read a lot of reviews as I'm always looking for a toy that won't destroy my African gray parrots in five minutes. One of the reviews is from another African Gray owner who said she loves it and has been using it for a while. It took my gray five minutes to chew two sections and all the nuts I had ended up on the bottom of the cage.

Pros
  • Great for me

Not all metal parts are stainless steel

I got this because it was advertised as 'stainless steel' and as many of you know zinc is poisonous to birds. When I received it, it became clear that while the rest of the metal parts are stainless steel, the chain is not: the chain is galvanized. Luckily my birds don't pay much attention to the chain and don't gnaw it. Low rating due to false advertising. The rubber part is ok, otherwise the toy is well made.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Safety

Excellent purchase; need big chunks of food

I use this a lot with my two Indian ringnecks. They loved it straight away and are always angry when they see me take it out because they know what's about to happen :) What struck me right away is that the rubber doesn't have a chemical smell that I've experienced with similar toys. Birds also like to chew on the rubber itself, but I haven't seen any damage to it. My only gripe is that you have to have things in pretty big chunks or they'll just fall out. I find that chopped veggies and fruit…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • doubt

Favorite Toy for Yellowhead and Double Yellowhead Revains

Freshly filled with peanuts, one of these toys can keep my husband's Revains occupied for hours, stopping them from fighting or screaming and calming them down. Sharing the cage, its double yellow head and neck spend time getting treats from this toy instead of trying to bite and chew each other. I've been buying this toy for many years and it's still my favorite. They spend hours digging peanuts out of holes. It's true that these birds can chew through rubber, but I've found that they don't do

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Nothing Here
