Satisfied with the product so far

Satisfied with the product so far. Great price and a nice upgrade over the stock brakes for my Mitsubishi Eclipse. I will come back to this review a year after seeing how the brakes perform over the long term.

Pros
  • Satisfied with the product so far
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great braking system!

I needed to replace worn brakes on my '03 Eclipse. Every time I bought parts from a well-known local auto parts store, the brakes squeaked and gave off tons of dust. Bought the powerstop system and was amazing! Great discount on great parts. Will use them for my other 3 vehicles!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Weak

Fantastic Brakes - Brake Kits

Worth the money! I installed it this afternoon and have now driven several hundred kilometers with it. Be sure to follow the break-in procedure as closely as possible, it stinks but it's worth it. I would like to warn you that your stopping distance can be significantly reduced and you really need tires that are up to the task to take full advantage of this kit.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not sure

Great set of brakes, best as a spare

I don't normally buy drilled and slotted brake discs (because apart from looks they really have no advantages over normal ones) but I bought them for a pretty low price. The kit includes everything needed to replace all four rotors and all eight brake pads and after about 8 months all is still quiet and working great. Next time I need work on the brakes I will buy it again!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • No

Brake and rotor kit

Wow this kit is great! The brakes really work, nothing creaks! The rotors look fantastic on my Mitsu Eclipse GT. Hope they don't rust. The mechanic who installed it says they don't rust like normal rotors. I think we'll see. And also this price is MUCH better than what you could buy in a store. I was told these rotors usually cost around 100! That means you save over $300 when you buy them from Revain. Thanks again Revin!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No instructions

Brakes worked great for 1.5 years

Brakes worked great for 1.5 years, then rotors deformed. I looked at the warranty and what do you know, they specifically don't cover the difference in DTV panel thickness. I spoke to the store and they said that geared rotors are known for DTV and cannot be rotated. The original rotors lasted 10 years now I have to replace them in less than 2 exchanges of these quality rotors. I advise you not to buy this kit. It will save you neither time nor money. I had to spend extra money on an OEM…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Matching

The seller does not have a complete catalog of the necessary spare parts. These kits do not support the front dual piston calipers found on 2000 and some 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT and Spyder. The pads do not fit the dual-piston calipers and the calipers rub on the rotors, necessitating a caliper modification. The rotors look good and hold up well, you just need to expand the product range and improve support for high-performance models or clearly identify installation problems.

Pros
  • Excellent for me
Cons
  • Expensive
