2 thumbs up: Brake Kits

I put these on my 97 Mountaineer and they fit perfectly. There is a noticeable difference when stopping. And the price is great. You won't find a better deal. I evaluated a similar setup at my local parts store and it would have cost over $800. If you are looking for a great vacation at a great price, take this one.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not sure

wtf amazon. Brake Kits

So when I ordered this kit it first said it would fit my '96 Ford Explorer and 3 weeks later I tested it again and it said it didn't fit your car. I tried it and the rotors fit my '96 Explorer perfectly, as do the rear pads, but I noticed the front pads were missing, they never came with a kit. Luckily for me, my old front pads had plenty of meat, but that's one way to kick the ball off the Amazon.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

It's ok if you're slow! for brake kits

I ordered this setup for my 2000 Ford Explorer 5.0 Limited AWD, although Revain said it didn't suit my car and the pads are all high quality as is the finish, first of all i did the front ones they were great good stopping power and very quiet then i did the rear ones again great stopping power compared to stock brakes although when you apply the brakes you hear very little skidding noise coming from the rear some research says that this is normal with slotted rotors, it's not an annoying noise

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • -

Very impressed with the kit which included 4 rotors and 8 pads as advertised. In addition, the kit also included anti-rattle clips (3 for the front wheel, 2 for the rear wheel) and rubber brake pad seals (2 for the wheel), which was an added bonus. The rotors are very precise and fit perfectly in every respect. The pads also look high quality, with friction material on the back to ensure they fit snugly, and what appears to be is most likely powder coated. All parts are well matched without any

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
