I have been using this product for a number of years and it does an excellent job of preventing black mold. Availability varies. Wasn't available last year. I switched to a competitor and then they sold out and this one was back in stock. Conclusion: Works great when available.

I love this stuff. works well and reportedly doesn't damage the inside of the tank like some others. However, I'm deducting 1 star because the price is high. I found them for half price at a store whose name starts with "L" and ends with "Must". However, I couldn't find them at Target or Walmart.

You are strongly advised to avoid this seller! Pure false advertising. You pay twice for (1) box! Your position is that 2 refills in one (1) box is the quantity of (2). Very deceptive, especially when most vendors offer $6.95 for (1) a box of (2) refills. Plus, it's listed as non-refundable! Love the product, avoid this supplier.

I had Kaboom systems in three toilets in my house. I left them in place when moving, big mistake. In my new apartment I had to constantly clean the toilets! I couldn't wait to install the new ones I ordered. They work so well and I don't notice any strong order. I installed the first one three weeks ago and the toilet is still spotless! I am satisfied with the price. The set includes 4 inserts (2*2), which was a pleasant surprise. I can't remember if kaboom's original solution had one tab or two, now I use one and it works great. No cleaning is required and there is no strong odor (I don't actually smell it). They used intermediate replicas, they were much smaller, disappeared faster and didn't do their job very well.

I love how they keep the bowl clean. Still have to do magic from time to time but nbd. The box is easy to open, but the plastic sleeve containing the pills needs to be opened with scissors. It would be nice if there was a small notch so you don't have to look for scissors or risk cutting your fingers when using the knife. Also, the box could have been smaller, it's big enough for 4 more bags! very wasteful IMHO. Companies should do everything possible to reduce the amount of packaging.

I would recommend people to keep the toilet bowl clean. and even if you don't clean the toilet, at least it helps keep it cleaner than if at least there was nothing in it. I have tried other types of cleaners. Drops in pills work best, but storing a pill in a rarely used toilet seems like a waste of money. Also, plumbers have told me that drip pills are bad for rubber dampers and other equipment.
