I bought this siphon hose for my husband because it works with small engines, lawnmowers, snow blowers and generators, so he uses it a lot, loves it, and he says it's much easier and safer than before.

Doesn't pump. I'm a pretty big missing piece for "siphon pump" (as the name suggests). What I mean is that check valves are tightly fitted inside and don't allow gravity to flow through. You have to download manually all the time. The hose had some severe kinks that made it difficult to fit into the gas tank I was trying to empty. I had to douse each with very hot water to soften them, then press to the side and hold until cool. Makes it much better but still annoying to use. Then I had to fill and refill and pump only 1.5 gallons of gas from the generator's gas tank into the gas tank over and over again. Package received in an envelope (fewer boxes these days from Revains.), seems in good condition but no instructions. But it's easy to find out. Essentially, you attach a suction tube to a container of liquid to be removed. (Inflate it and feel both ends and you'll know which one creates suction). It works perfectly IF the receptacle is LOWER THAN the liquid source. Pump it up a few times, the liquid will start to overflow into the holding tank, and then stop pumping and GRAVITY will do the rest
