Shoes with very hard soles.

Shoes with a very hard sole and some padding in use. I would have been better off on natural ground than pavement or pavement.

Pros
  • The shoe offers superior comfort and support, making it ideal for long hikes and strenuous outdoor activities.
Cons
  • Not suitable for sidewalks

Maybe they changed the design?

I have owned 5 pairs of these Keen Austin shoes over the years and love them so much. I wear them all the time. One of the great things about them is that there is no menstrual interruption! But in the latest issue, the tongue has been pulled out and it's digging into my ankle.

Pros
  • I love that these shows can double as shoes for the office or the trail.
Cons
  • Poor arch support

Stiffer than previous versions

This is my third pair of Austins and I have found them to be much quieter and take longer to break in than previous versions. I suspect Keen is trying to increase their durability (the older versions started falling apart after about 2.5 years) but be prepared to break them in for a few weeks before they feel good to the touch. They also have cheaper insole material than in the past, which is a shame. I'm keeping them and will continue to wear them, but I also ended up having a pair of Bogs…

Pros
  • An excellent shoe that works with orthopedic insoles - you take out the existing insole and put in the orthotic.
Cons
  • Not flexible

Comfortable for everyday!

I have a lot of experience with different Keen products. These shoes are comfortable which is my top priority. They're a bit heavy for their size, but that's not a problem for me. I read a review stating that the tongue of the shoe touches the front of the ankle and is uncomfortable. I experienced the same but it improved with wear and with care in tongue placement when putting the shoes on there was no problem. There is good arch support but little cushioning on the inside. I have to use a…

Pros
  • The shoe is versatile and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and trail running.
Cons
  • Insufficient traction

Third pair of my review

These are durable everyday shoes. My first pair was finally worn out at the sole after many years of daily wear and a couple of work shoes. Long ago it was replaced by the second pair for every day, and now the third pair has put the second in working status. heart shoes.

Pros
  • Really comfortable
Cons
  • Too obligatory

Incorrect last rating size

I have ordered a pair of this product (brown) as well as a black pair and the brown pair was much larger than the correspondingly sized black Keen pair. I gave it away and went through the return period. I am incredibly disappointed as it is the same shoe and size but they are completely different!

Pros
  • Lightweight and flexible, the KEEN Austin men's hiking shoe allows you to move easily without feeling heavy.
Cons
  • Lack of arch support

Poor insole is the best in my rating

The shoe shape is great. They're well built, but the removable foam sockliner has little cushioning or structure and little to no arch support. If you use your own insoles that would be great. For over $120 I was expecting a better insole that would fit my foot better.

Pros
  • The Keen shoes I bought are great for the work I do. Very comfortable from day one!
Cons
  • Low quality materials

Nice pair of shoes, good for me

A little chunky and a bit heavier than Targhee shoes but overall I like them because they can be worn to dinner or hiking. I also adjusted the laces to match the style of the boots

Pros
  • 45-50 hours a week on your feet. Holds up well
Cons
  • Bad cushioning

Bad shoes - my rating

Very stiff shoes, even after prolonged wear. The stiffness caused us to walk differently, which put a lot of strain on my ankles. I stopped wearing them and my ankles felt better. Also, they are very slippery on wet surfaces. I ended up throwing them away after a few months because my ankles and feet were in terrible pain.

Pros
  • The only downside is that it's not waterproof.
Cons
  • Bad traction

Comfortable, supportive and well made

As you can see, almost all of my shoes are Keens, with the exception of one pair of dress shoes. Also, these are just the ones I wore this week. I really love the comfort and quality and this is the only brand I trust enough to order online and be sure I will love it. When I try on shoes from other brands in stores, I often wonder if I like them, but Keens doesn't disappoint, so I order them with confidence.

First impressions are good for Fashion Sneakers

I bought a pair of sneakers many years ago and was very happy with the comfort and quality, they have lasted a long time. My only complaint was that they were a bit heavy. I recently needed to buy some comfortable walking shoes and started looking for options and reading reviews of the ones I liked. I have decided to buy Keen Austin and I just received them yesterday. My first impressions are generally very positive. True to size, I'm a 10 and sometimes, depending on the brand, have to buy an…

Eyelet rivet fell apart after 2-3 uses

Unfortunately this was a broken pair of shoes. I took it with me on a trip to Europe a few days after receiving it. I noticed the rivet fell apart after a few uses so I stopped wearing it and decided to return it when I get back to the States. Well, I seem to have missed the deadline to return this item. It was during my trip to Europe so I was stuck with a broken pair of shoes. The rivet itself hasn't come out of the boot yet, but it's only a matter of time. I also took a new pair of Keen…

Best expected for men

These shoes were made in India. Unlike other Keen leather boots I own, the Austin didn't break in easily. I usually break in leather shoes by wearing them around the house for a few hours and then I'm ready to wear them regularly. It took several weeks to wear them to work two or three times a week. The tongue in the right shoe hurt on the foot (before there was no such problem). This may be because the tongue edge lined up with the eyes that the laces go through and caused pain when lacing my…

Shoes for work or just everyday wear

This is my second pair of Austin Keen shoes (I've had 5 pairs in different styles) and I've returned to this model because it serves the purpose. At work, I'm on my feet all day. These shoes are sturdy and seem to keep my body from collapsing. The only major caveat I would give to beginners wearing Keen is that they take a long time to break in compared to shoes like Nike or Adidas. But once taken apart wow they last a long time and seem to keep my feet from hurting. The shoes only lasted me 6…

Great Sneaker Jumpsuit Fashion Sneakers

Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Keen shoes. I like the roomy toe box and slightly wider interior than most other brands. I have a second pair of Keen Austin shoes. They're very comfortable for running, I can wear them to work with jeans or khakis, and they're casual enough with just enough profile for running around town. I will say it has something to do with the fit of the insole, sometimes I hear a creaking but with a slight offset of the insole this can be mitigated (this is…

Comfort and quality

First of all, this is the fifth pair of KEEN sneakers that I have bought. I also have Austin shoes in black. To be honest, I don't remember how many years ago I bought it. I knew what size to order because their sizes are very consistent. Keen are the most comfortable shoes (and work boots) I've ever worn. They are made with extra toe room so I don't have to buy a size up. I found I could only wear them comfortably for a few hours. This is a bit of a misnomer because I suffer from diabetic…

What is a man worth, or his soleless shoe?

These shoes were a replacement for an old Keen Austins I bought years ago. I only wear them occasionally as I've bought them at most 4 or 5 times in a short period of time. Fits great and is comfortable right out of the box. For this reason I am a big fan of Keen shoes. However, I took these shoes on a trip last week and wore them once when I walked around Ghent for a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon and noticed when I got back to my apartment that the right heel was completely detached…
