I ordered this product after reading the reviews. There were several that complained about the lingering odor of the mat. I thought that I should know how to eradicate a chemical odor from the mat, so I ordered it. When I opened the package the odor was so strong that I immediately hung it outdoors to allow it to off gas. I checked the odor several times during the seven days that it hung. Mat seems really well constructed, I could use one maybe 2-3 inches longer next time. The one off-putting think is as soon as I opened it the mat smells horrible. I thought it just needed to air out and began to use it after a quick rinse but it made all of my dishes smell. I washed it with dish soap and a sponge and that helped a little but if you go near it you can still smell it. The mat is what I expected for the price. Seems pretty sturdy. Nice color. It curls up on one side because it was rolled up in the box, but I don’t think that will be an issue. It has a pretty bad odor right out of the box, but after one day being opened the smell is nearly gone.

I like the product performance, price and duribility, however this was very stinky/offensive odor coming out of the package. So much so I almost chucked into the trash. I decided to give it a few days and if i still smelled it then I would chuck it. It did loose the potent foul scent for the most part and I am glad. It was easy to trim this to fit my odd sink size and the product seems very durable. I would reccomend if you are able to get past the inital odor.

The sink mat looked great in the picture but when I got it was very curled on one end and doesn’t lie flat in the sink. I have tried putting it under some heavy things to flatten it out and even put very warm water on it trying to get it to lie flat but nothing seems to work.

This is the right size for my sink, however once I opened it it reeked of the worst chemical smell. So badly that when I Allen into the room it was in you could easily smell it. And I’m not that picky about mild orders. This was in no way mild. The other thing is that it came rolled up and I have to work at getting it flat. I didn’t buy it to have to work to make it work. Looked for a while to find a sink protector that covered the entire sink. This fors perfectly, its durable but looks nice. Easy to clean

I have a large 30" stainless steel single bowl sink in my kitchen and I wanted something to help protect the basin from scratches. This item was PERFECT! The color is a match for the sink. I was able to make a cut out for the sink drain with little effort. Everything is fine about it except the awful smell of PVC.I let it soak in vinegar overnight and it's still there. Will see if time can help.

The only reason I took a star off is because when we first received it, it smelled like chemicals really bad. We’ve had it for a few weeks now and it still smells horrible to the point we will replace it as soon as we find something else this size. Its not a normal plastic or silicone smell. I love this mat! It’s one of the few that fit my large sink. The measurements are spot on and I simply trim it with a scissors to make the spot for my drain. You can easily wash it with a sponge with soap and water in 20 seconds to remove any grime that might build up on it, or curl into a roll and toss in dishwasher during a cycle. I needed a large mat to cover the bottom of a single sink. I bought this one because I liked the color and design. However, it has a strong chemical smell to it, and it's especially noticeable when I run hot water in the sink. Hopefully the smell will disappear over time.

Had to pull up mat everytime I want to clean the sink because thingsis left on top of the screen. But I like it, keeps my sink from scratchesand also china is safer with the screen.
