Kestrel Sports Plastic Bundle Discs Review

I have just received my discs and opened the box to find that 2 out of 3 discs are twisted and warped! I don't know if it happened during delivery or production. they don't work as intended. You wouldn't buy a bent bike rim, would you? I don't know why they sell bent and twisted rims!

I have two sets of these frisbees so I have extra frisbees for friends. I'm just an amateur but they fly well and are durable. I have pricier drives but honestly I can't tell the difference in performance. They are suitable for a beginner like me. If you're a pro, you might need something more interesting. But it should be fine for most people.

They worked great during my one day disc golf stay. I played a solid seven holes and was happy with the play. I was unhappy to find it didn't float but that was more my fault. The driver was at an amazing distance. I managed to get the course over the fence and into no man's land with a dog that made Sandlot's beast look tame. I still have the stick I used to teach my stepdaughter how to throw and catch a frisbee. She liked it so much that I bought the set again. I just avoid falls.

These discs helped me play disc golf my freshman year. It took me a few rounds to figure out how to throw them, but once I figured it out I got better. I understand how their performance works and I can compensate for that by dropping them. They are of good quality - as good as any other discs I've seen. This is a poor price and definitely not a CD set for children as the ad title suggests. I bought these for my son before I started disc golf. Children and small adults should not use such heavy discs. Small children (under 140 pounds) can actually injure themselves with a disc this heavy. Lightweight individuals should use discs weighing between 150 and 160 grams. It is over 170 grams. The price is also too high. For around $20-$25 you can get 3 much better quality Discraft discs. Nice disc golf set, good for beginners but definitely not the most durable. My driver flew great for the first few laps but after hitting some trees he became very unstable and I lost him by throwing him over a fence as he turned right in a direction he wasn't going before had driven. I've read a lot of rave reviews about this set and being new to disc golf I bought two. One for my daughter and one for me. If you're a casual gamer, grab the $10 set from Walmart. These rims are super great rims. I'm an intermediate disc golfer and enjoy playing with them. I have a few comments. The discs are manufactured by Gateway Discs. These discs are not a Kestrel design, they are actually re-stamped Gateway discs. I only say this to buyers who may think they are buying a new product that is exclusive to a small business.
