For 8 weeks the whistle mechanism on the lid prevented it from closing completely so the kettle stopped alarming about boiling water. It can quickly overcook and dangerously overheat. Luckily, my husband, a firefighter, saved me from a severe burn by taking him off the stove. The defect is easy to miss and very dangerous.

This is a good pot - durable and easy to use. Follow the care instructions for it and I think it will look like new for a long time. i love the pen Below that is a small button that you press and the Spot lid will pop open and another small button will appear on top. Beautiful teapot. Looks really cool and I got a few compliments on it. It whistles as it should. It should be noted that I use it quite often throughout the day to warm up the baby milk so that I don't empty the kettle in between. It contains water most of the time. I noticed that the inside bottom has discolored a bit. However, the instructions explicitly state that you should not leave any water in the kettle. So this is my fault. Overall I love this product!
