Disappointed Best in Coffee, Tea & Espresso

I love Keurig coffee and the single shot is as good as ever. The decanter was very disappointing. It's almost impossible to pour from the kettle without the coffee spilling all over the counter. This seems to be one of the most fundamental design issues, and it's unforgivable. In addition, it is difficult to maintain consistent coffee quality from pot to pot. The $80 pot I replaced worked much better!

Pros
  • Smart Start: Your coffee maker heats up and then brews in one simple operation. You don't have to wait for it to heat up before choosing your cup size.
Cons
  • Skimpy manual

So disappointed. - Coffee Makers

The same amount of coffee I made in my old Kurig turns out weak in this one. Tried to make 3 cups. 10 ounces Regular Brew and Strong Brew. Tried 8 ounces on a regular brew. The "strong" button doesn't stay on. The automatic carafe function is only activated when the machine is switched on. Does not turn on automatically. The clock is on top of the device, so you can't see it unless you're standing directly in front of it. Cup settings are not saved. You have to select them every time. The first

Pros
  • Strong Drink: Prepare a stronger and richer drink for one cup. Cord length 30 inches
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Nice, sturdy coffee maker.

The coffee maker does an excellent job of making drinks. It also does a great job of dripping coffee onto my counter and floor from the included glass carafe. It looks like a company with such a solid reputation will be able to create a coffee maker that's gentler to use. We mainly use the glass carafe for everyday use and the single coffee maker for evening enjoyment. I guess they put all their research into single shot brewers and didn't work that hard on the regular coffee maker part. If I…

Pros
  • Large 60 ounce water tank: The 60 ounce water tank is used together for single servings and carafe brewing, saving you time and streamlining your morning routine. The removable container makes filling easier.
Cons
  • Negative impression

The water tank can be placed in the most convenient place.

The best feature for us was the ability to have a large enough water tank to place next to the unit. This does 2 things: (1) eliminates the need to fill the coffee maker with water each time you use it, and (2) the tank can be placed where it is most convenient to fill it. We were disappointed that there is no way to make 4 cups with the carafe function. This means that the minimum for this function is 6 cups. The K-Cup feature allows you to brew 4, 8, or 12 oz. The instructions could have been

Pros
  • Programmable automatic carafe brewing: Program the coffee maker for automatic carafe brewing 24 hours in advance.

Learn a little, now brew like a champ

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised -- Taped to the top of my test machine were two boxes of capsules and a bag of ground coffee. Little did I know it would come with coffee to get me started. When you look inside the box, it's a nice, compact machine that looks like it will fit in the space I have on the counter - almost the same height as my old Keurig K-40 single-shot machine , just a little wider. After assembling the machine and washing the parts, I was a bit disappointed…

Pros
  • Pause and pour: Automatically pauses the coffee in the coffee maker for 20 seconds so you can pour it into the carafe
Cons
  • Can I add something

It's like a portion maker and a full-size drip coffee maker in one.

This Keurig K-Duo is the best of both worlds in one compact machine: a one-shot coffee maker that holds our largest travel mugs and a drip coffee maker with a large glass carafe. We've been using the Keurig 2.0 for many years now and it was fine on weekdays when my husband and I made coffee at different times. We were interested in a decanter based drip system for weekends or parties when we wanted to make a big pot to share. I have tried different brands of single serve coffee machines and…
