Better than the dealer

We bought a 2008 Dodge Avenger from a friend with only 1 key. We called the dealer and they charged $160 for just one key and another $60 for programming. We stumbled across this and decided to risk it. We took them to our local hardware store and had them cut for FREE and then found a place where we programmed BOTH for only $35. The only complaint is that the batteries were bad and had to be replaced right out of the box. Other than that, it's just what we needed.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Volume

Just be very close to your car!

You get what you pay for. They were cheap, but I didn't see what that would mean in terms of keychain performance. Electronics in them are hardly useful. You have to be VERY close to your car and often have to push hard or for a long time. After all, they work. What I also didn't realize was that it still costs a lot ($100) to have them programmed by a locksmith. I would do things differently if I could, but one day I will learn my lesson. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Clarity

Undeniable value Anti-theft

Read the instructions in the ad and you'll see that you're fine if you follow them and your ad says what you need. You need two keys to start the process. One won't work. And to clarify that these are two working keys. With the instructions that came with it, it worked perfectly. The keys are working great so far and I got them for less than $16 compared to the $300+ the dealer wanted. I did the programming myself using the supplied instructions and it worked great.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Saved me hundreds of dollars!

Both keys fit my 2006 Jeep Commander perfectly. I had them cut at a locksmith for $10 each. I was then able to program them myself using an Autel ap200 OBD Bluetooth dongle ($45 from Amazon). Both can be programmed without problems. The remote controls work great too. I've saved hundreds by doing everything myself. It would cost me 200-300 to buy and program them at my local store! My only complaint is that the red color of the case is pink. But okay. I can handle it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Frequency

05 New key for Jeep Liberty

Keys look great and arrived quickly BUT for 2005 Jeep Liberty they cannot be self programmed. This needs to be done by third party programmers who have a thousand dollar computer specific to this model or by a local Jeep dealer. 3 stars for product quality and fast shipping. Update: Third party programmers cannot program keys for this year/model, these keys are for newer models, not 2005 Jeep Liberty. The keys were cut off so I now have keys for manual control but the remote control is useless…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Perfectly programmed and works great!

Update: We've had them for over a year now and they're still great! So we received these keys today. Brought her to Ace to be cut and programmed. This is when perfect! And it only cost me $40 to cut and program both keys! I'm so excited and happy! When we started the programming process, the guy told me that most of the time the 3rd party keys are programmed ok but sometimes they don't interact properly but these keys would work fine. If you don't see any updates, they're still working. Update:

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Good but not great
