Poor quality tool for power tool parts and supplies

Bought this to drill straight holes in 6x6 racks. This block is too flexible to drill a straight hole. As a result, I looked closely and got more even holes. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Have doubts

It was better to drill a pilot hole in a block of wood

I drilled two holes before the shaft fell out. I didn't find the tool stable enough to even make a standing vertical hole. Plastic parts allowed a lot of rocking.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons

Junk, sloppy on power tools

Goods are cheap. It doesn't have a centering notch to go to zero so you have to align the two sides with the arrow and then tighten them which makes it 99.9% inaccurate - it's not an accurate tool at all.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some little things

Repeats the process of drilling pilot holes Spit 32 times*

Used for new stainless steel cable handrails on stairs. Set the grade mark and spacing to get perfect alignment for anchor wire pilot holes in wood railings.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Not the best for round bar stock

I bought it for round bar tubing and pipe. Because the base is plastic, it can bend from side to side. This results in the drill not being centered. I even tried securing it in the 4 corners but the arms still flex. So if you intend to use a round steel shank, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • Good but not the best

Does what it's supposed to do, slight hesitation because of

Does what it's supposed to do, the plastic parts wobble a bit, but it has worked well so far. I drilled about 150 stair railing holes at a 30 degree angle on my patio. I had to build a base so he could hold the 2x4 on the edge, otherwise it worked out fine. The photo shows 2 finished railings.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Working speed

Difficult to get an accurate angle on either side

Since both sides are free floating just hope they're set to the same mark or you'll be drilling wobbly holes. This worked well in combination with a digital protractor (also available here).

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Helps drill in tricky spots and corners

This is my second. I gave my first one to my son-in-law, who doesn't have a drill. Soon after, I found I needed it again. I have ordered a second one for myself. It does not replace the power drill and can drill in places that the power drill cannot reach. On the other hand, this isn't a flimsy tool that will break just by touching it. Take good care of him and he can drill large holes ranging from 45Β° to 90Β° and maintain the angle while drilling. When I need specific angles, I use a protractor

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Frequency
