Few parts fit Replacement parts

Although the carburetor I have was listed as one that would fit in this kit I was only able to use two spacers. (Solex 30 PIST-2). Although the quality of the parts looked ok.

Not good. in spare parts

I bought the whole set but really just need a new membrane. The one included in this kit was too small. I had to tighten the screws a bit. It's only leaking for two months.

Does not match what is stated.

Everything looked fine when I received the kit. After checking what I received in the kit, I noticed that I didn't get the fuel and idle control o-rings. That's the whole reason for buying this kit. If you want this, DO NOT BUY IT.

Good coverage for many options

This gives fairly good coverage for most carburetors. I had to modify a pad to fit mine perfectly. The fuel cut solenoid valve didn't fit my model, but I didn't need it. Considering that it is difficult to solve the problem with one kit, I rate this as good quality. But when you're working with those old carburetors, even with those kits, you'll have to improvise or find extra parts.

Gaskets are suitable for parts

I would love to get a kit that only has what you need. Three bowl gaskets are useless in post 1973 carburetors and even in Super Beetles without a 1600 engine. Too many useless O-rings. This is normal, however, several float valve o-rings of different thicknesses can be used to establish the correct float setting. The holes in the gaskets are not always where they should be and the gaskets are very well thought out compared to the originals.

Check the dimensions of the accelerator pump and main jet for proper seating.

Bought this pic 28 carburetor everything is there. 2 pieces did not match the original parts. The accelerator pump was stamped too small so I had to order another one elsewhere and the main jet is shorter and doesn't screw all the way in. Everything was working before installation. After installing most of the parts and moving on to the accelerator pump and jet, I noticed slight differences in the two parts. And now I can't return this item because I used some other good useful parts.
