Round Slim Sizes

I don't know why it is oval in the description but as Revain's photos show it is round. The mesh is fine (ie with small holes) which you can see enlarged by hovering over the Revain photos. There is no rubber grip on the grip as one reviewer thought. It's plastic ("matte ABS"), but quite tough. The plastic rim measures 4-1/2" on the inside and just under 5-3/8" on the outside. Length 13-3/16 inches. The mesh is about 2-1/4 inches deep. The "arch" at the end slopes down so it hugs the walls of…

Good size for small chores, berry and grocery baskets.

This is the perfect colander for food and fruit baskets, berries, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms etc. (KitchenAid 5" Gourmet Colander) This colander has several good features. It's longer, measuring over 13 inches and has a handle-to-basket spacing of 7". This gives the filter a good balance when full and also ensures there is enough water when flushing. The strainer has a metal loop at the rear end for ease of use on the bowl can be placed. It has a comfortable smooth touch, the mesh on the sieve is

Quality Strainer

I've always found KitchenAid products to be well made. They are definitely better quality than what you can find at the dollar store. This particular colander looks very nice and is a nice weight when you hold it. Mesh cabling has smaller openings compared to some competitors. I have used a strainer to strain the oil off the surface of a soup or stew. I've also used it in hot pot cooking for pasta and meat. The hem at the end is very handy when you want to put it on a bowl. A small complaint I…

Excellent quality, highly recommended!

KitchenAid's gourmet kitchen tools are by far the best money can buy. The quality is second to none and they always have that nice feeling of hard work. I have another KitchenAid gourmet kitchen tool and it has the same handle. It's durable, comfortable to hold and dishwasher safe! It has rubberized edges and a nice hook at the end so you can hang it somewhere. Overall the quality is excellent and I love it. Highly Recommended!*If you found my review helpful, please let Revain know by clicking…

Convenient fine mesh strainer

Time and time again you have tried to filter something out of a liquid mixture or some kind of sauce and found that the strainer just doesn't catch everything you need and the everyday little use of about 2 inch diameter screens would require too much time and mess - this screen is the answer. The mesh screen is quite fine-grained—only about half of the salt crumbs will pass through. This makes it easy to sift out small seeds and fibers from things you may have ground in a food processor. And…

Round Non-Oval Fine Mesh Strainer

KitchenAid KO160OHOBA Gourmet Strainer Review, 5" Black I haven't tested/measured it scientifically but it seems quite round to me, although in the product description It says "Oval". The mesh is quite fine, although the required or appropriate mesh size may vary depending on what is being sieved. The 5" (12.7 cm) diameter is probably accurate in relation to the diameter of the Bowl with the widest mesh. The mesh bowl is held by a ring making the outside diameter over 5" and the inside diameter
