Knit a bedspread in 30 minutes?

Almost! The blanket can be knitted in a few hours. This is a big yarn eater. You can use 5, 6 or 7 super bulky weights. You can knit together 3-4 regular strands. You can crochet the chain, wrap it into a ball and knit it with knitting needles. You can knit with sheets or plastic bags. You can make lace things out of a broom. This is great for knitters because you can see the anatomy of each stitch. The point is, it's FAST. Carry them in your shirt pocket. Nunchakus for emergencies!

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fine circular knitting needles

Very good circular knitting needles. Birch is a little smoother than bamboo needles, but not as smooth as plastic needles (compared to other smaller needles I have). The connection is smooth and strong. The needle itself can be a bit longer. The synthetic "thread" is strong and will not stretch under the heavy weight of the very bulky yarn. The length is great for an afghan. I used them to knit a sofa from thick luxurious yarn with loops and strands. Much easier than the metal flagpoles I usedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So far so good

so much pain - too sharp and cord too flimsy

The needles are smooth and so far they haven't broken or anything, I'm almost done with this blanket of this giant yarn. But it's such a pain to use! The needles are very sharp for no apparent reason. I knit with the thickest yarn, they could dull the needle significantly. It hurts every time I press the tip. The cable is too thin and flexible for the thickness of the needles. It doesn't have enough substance to hold thick and heavy yarn, so it folds and twists between stitches instead ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
