I love needles and I like the shorter size. The tips are just right, not too sharp, not too blunt, and the laminated birch feels like silk. The join is smooth and doesn't seem to cause snags or snag problems with the yarn when knitting in the round. Would have been a 5 plus BUT BECAUSE of the problems of fitting a US 7 needle on a separately purchased 40 inch cord but still the knitter's pride.
