🔧 Kohler K-GP77005-RP Ceramic Valve - Enhanced Size and Rough Plate Review

I am a 67 year old female. My faucet was dripping from the spout. I've lived here for 18 years so I ordered the entire assembly after reading reviews of the old spout not being able to be removed. I couldn't remove the nut under the sink fixture so I removed the faucet skirt (I had to use a belt). The valve was corrosion-free and easy to dismantle! I ordered this valve, screwed it on and voila, no leaks.

CERAMIC VALVE GP77005-RP (HOT) was installed in a Kohler Model K-393 Centerset Basin Faucet due to a leak from the old valve cartridge. The only problem was removing the old rusty cartridge: to do this I sprayed into the handle adapter where the valve cartridge is located with a BP blaster for 3 days until it came loose. Tools used for this project: - 5/8" deep socket ratchet - BP Blaster Penetrating Catalyst (optional) - Dow Corning 111 o-ring valve silicone grease and sealant (optional)

The item itself is of good quality and at a good price. Cheaper than in store and I saved time by ordering it from Revain. Installation should be relatively easy, depending on how old your faucet is. As other reviews have mentioned, the hot side valve cartridge can be used on the cold side by removing the spring clip and rotating the brass stop 90 degrees. You don't have to remove the inside of the valve, just twist the separate brass piece and push the clip back in. Looks like a real Kohler valve. If your Kohler faucet is leaking, your valve is probably worn out. This one goes perfectly with my Kohler faucet. After installing, my leak was fixed. A few tips: 1) It may not be easy to determine if this part will fit your Kohler faucet. You can first take out the old/leaking part and visually inspect/confirm with a picture. 2) This is a 1/4 turn valve. So left and right are not the same.
