💨 Koldfront WTCSLV White Through the Wall Air Conditioner Sleeve: Efficient Cooling Solution Review

The screw holes were so small that the screws would not fit. The metal is fragile and bends easily. Absolute waste of time and money. I just plugged the air conditioner into the pod already installed in my house and it worked fine. This shell is garbage.

Well made and easy to assemble. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because when assembled the box is about a quarter inch larger on each side than the advertised dimensions. I used the advertised size to frame this before the box arrived and had to make adjustments after receiving it to make it fit.

The case is solidly constructed but has one major design flaw: it doesn't include a rear grille (to protect against bugs, vermin, etc.) rendering the product totally unusable. If you install this, you have to build your own grill. The instructions say to install the grate that comes with the AC unit. which type?! AC units don't usually come with anything like this. This product is not to be sold as is - it must contain a grill. Otherwise it's complete garbage. I returned mine. Do not buy.

later Instructions didn't match our AC very well (although it's a cold front and it was the manufacturer's recommended sleeve) - wasn't sure if it would fit or not add extra padding for drainage and more since you wouldn't be able to physically fit the device in your case if soft slopes were added. It would also be nice if the $100 piece of metal came with some form of support to put pressure on the back of the house instead of paying another $30 just to install a $300 air conditioner.

We mounted our air conditioner high, close to the ceiling. The sleeve made it easy to lift the 80 lb air conditioner and stick it in the hole we made in the wall. We had to lift the sleeve and try it in the hole about 10 times before we liked the fit. I can't imagine doing this with an actual conditioner. It was easy to assemble. I agree Steve. In the sense that it is very EASY to assemble, but you have to care a little about your touch. All of the sides flex, so if you just put it together without making sure every part is straight and aligned, you'll have the issues others have mentioned in their reviews.
