Opens the microscopic world!

Very impressed with the quality in every way for this price! My kids and I love it! We still learn more about it by using it. Feel like a real scientist using it, especially when working on my iPhones. I feel like a microscopic surgeon using my laptop's display for very small tasks (a higher refresh rate would help here, but as long as you're moving slowly it's fine. Can even be tweaked, but you don't know). , like .) My only slight downside is that I'd welcome more detailed instructions on how

Better software could have made this a great purchase.

At first there was no guidance. Although MicroCapture Plus 1.01 software is easy to install, it is very limited. An empty zoom box will not accept a value, so the crosshair will get stuck at the default value. And the default setting is such that even a US penny more than fills the screen when the microscope is in its maximum position on the tripod. So I have to put the whole unit in a 4 inch box and rotate the microscope to the back of the tripod to make it higher up on the object being…

The camera, scope and software work VERY well.

The previous reviewer returned the product a month or two ago saying it was too difficult and time consuming to photograph coins. Well, he just sent a very nice, very useful product. I tried several cameras/microscopes before purchasing this one in October 2018. Since then I've been using it successfully. It and the software are great for coins - with one exception - the "chrome tube" that the microscope slides up and down. TOO SHORT. I usually have to raise it 5 inches (+/-) depending on the…
