good price as if it were your opportunity to part.

Good price love that they can be separated and you can put one on the cable and the other on the other end of the cable in a different room and cross the signal so you don't have to pull all the cables in a room good for working on church speakers

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good design, took about 30 minutes before it failed.

The reason I bought this tester was because of its design, easy disconnection and ease of use. We tested about 8 XLR connectors before LEDs 2 & 3 failed and this followed testing Category 6 cables. I have since returned this failed unit and purchased a different but similar tester. Short answer: I would not order this device again.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some errors

Unreliable - caused more problems than it solved.

Unfortunately, after a day of using it to check audio cable continuity, the tester became detached and then stopped working completely. I think the problem was that when the wires were plugged in, the transmitter's internal circuitry no longer recognized continuity on PIN 1, and therefore didn't check properly. Sometimes turning the transmitter on or off worked, and sometimes plugging the cable back in. But I would spend more time getting the sender to recognize PIN 1 on the cable than…

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
