🔐 KryptoFlex Key Cable Bicycle Lock with Kryptonite Technology Review

I bought two of these to use when camping for the solar generator and solar panel for our RV. I hope this keeps the solar panel and generator from going out when we're not outside with them. The combination was easy to set up and I created the same combination for both locks so I don't have to worry about which has which combination.

We had high hopes for this bike lock but like another recent review, the first time the lock was left unused it would not open. We've tried everything but had to resort to trimming with bolt cutters! It took a while to break through, so it was a very aggravating situation. My guess is that there was a defect in the last batch of locks as previous reviews didn't state this at all.

After owning two other kryptonite locks for 20 years I thought this combination lock would be an easy task for my son who bikes to school. After less than 1 week of use, the lock stuck and would not open. Now I have to try and pick the lock to get his bike from the school bike rack and I'm out of the lock. A totally disappointing experience to say the least. I will never buy kryptonite again.

Just got the lock. I bought this to mount my bikes on a towbar mounted bike rack. The length is perfect. Very easy to set up. Although the description says the kit comes with a bracket, it doesn't. Not satisfied with the misleading description. Now I need to find a mount that works with this lock. I've used this lock at home 2 or 3 times in the last few weeks. I then used it to attach mountain bikes to my bike rack and rode 75 miles, part of which was dirt road. We then got ready for the ride and tried to unlock the bikes. Does not happen. So I rode back to the local bike shop 20 miles away and borrowed a bolt cutter. I bought 2 for our bikes about 2 weeks ago. They are used about 4 times a week. One still works perfectly. On the other hand, the connector no longer clicked and no longer held when plugged in. I gave it another dose of silicone and it connected, but now it won't turn off. It sticks in the closed position. Good thing the bike wasn't locked when it happened. Hence the 3 stars.
