Save yourself the hassle

As previously mentioned, if you have a taller door latch the design of the inner casing makes installation more difficult. I flipped the internals and was able to get it working with my door. As for the mechanism, that's a different story. The lock feels very cheap and flimsy in construction, like you only need a screwdriver to pry the whole thing out. The Zwave connection kept dropping - very unreliable. Eventually, it used up 25% of its battery life in a week. My whole house is a Kiwkset…

Only buy this if you have a Samsung Smart Things HUB!

This product is Z-Wave compatible which might lead you to believe that it is smart home compatible. Notably, Revain is Alexa compatible. However, while not clearly stated in the written description, you must also have a Samsung Smart Things hub. It's not enough to have the Smart Thing app on your phone, you must have its specific hub. So save yourself some hassle and hassle because if you don't have that particular hub, then this device is NOT smart home compatible. i will return it What's even

Some issues but still my first choice

There aren't many options to choose from, it's zwave plus and a doorknob (no latch). This is the best I could find in terms of value for money. The cable connection was short as people say. But it's just difficult, not impossible. Otherwise the installation is quite simple. The ability to recode locks is a huge plus. Thinner doors are a problem because of the curved part that holds everything in place. Because of this, the handle does not rotate. I solved it by trimming it down a bit, but…

Not so smart. on Door Hardware & Locks

Reviewed May 26, 2020 Hands on and feel research and personal reviews at local shops. My main goals for the lock are 1) a reliable touchpad, 2) auto-lock after 30 seconds, and 3) Z-Wave Plus. Two out of three.1) Reliable touchpad. It was excellent. I was able to install the code and my family uses it every day. 2) Automatic lock. This was necessary to ensure the security of the home. I love this feature. This is a feature because there are DIP switches inside the lock to turn it on and off.3)…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

I have several of these Zwave lock sets. They can be attuned to a bear, but that was easy. However, they have fallen in price in the last 10 years. No longer heavy good metal, but thin metal. My problem was a bad keyboard. I got tired of reconnecting the cable between the keyboard and the rear lock several times, but it didn't work. I called Quickset support to no avail. You can replace the keyboard, but shipping takes 7-10 days. So I try again and get the Revain exchange form. I will update…
