Description of KYB 349008 Excel G Gas Shock

KYB recommended OEM replacement shock. Specifically calibrated to help restore the original handling and control characteristics of GM cars. Uses a seamless working cylinder matched with a Teflon coated piston band for a positive seal and longer life. Triple chrome plated piston rod and multi-lip oil seals that reduce wear. Solid seamless mounting eye rings and bolt bushings to eliminate rattles. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Worst Shock I've Ever Used

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shock to anyone. It has made my driving experience much worse than before. It doesn't provide any noticeable improvement in handling or ride comfort.

Good Alternative OE

Did a good job improving the ride of my 2009 Malibu with 90,000 miles. Easy installation combined with new KYB shock absorbers. An easy do-it-yourself project despite the useless instructions provided.

KYB Shocks 05 Pontiac G6 (REAR)

Very easy installation on 05 Pontiac G6, literally 3 bolts. Driveability restored to stock, maybe a little harder. I still have to do the front so this is only a 50% improvement. I love KYB, excellent quality products.
